November begins with a stationary direct Mercury, which enables us to move forward again with new projects and goals. Take advantage of this next two-week period for initiating some new beginnings before Mars turns retrograde on November 15. The sun in favorable aspect to both Mars and Uranus during the first week of November will provide some extra energy and creative inspiration.
The New Moon will occur on November 9 at 17 degrees of Scorpio. The powerful energy of this lunation in Scorpio will be somewhat altered by a challenging aspect to Neptune. As events will likely have an aura of unreality and possible confusion, strive for clarity in all things and avoid dissipating influences. This is a good lunation period for releasing and letting go of whatever is not working in one's life. It is favorable now to look at any areas where we have been overly controlling and to bring in more sharing and cooperation. This energy can be used on a higher level for developing one's intuition and for creative visualization.
Mars turns stationary retrograde on November 15 at 12 degrees of Cancer and goes direct on January 30. This is generally not a good time to initiate activities, especially those that are more risky. Our plans may backfire and we may feel as though we are moving backward instead of forging ahead. There may also be an overall lack of energy for anything very ambitious. As Cancer is a water sign, this will be a good time to notice how our actions are ruled by our emotions (water) in both favorable and unfavorable ways. This will be especially true in the areas of the home, family, diet and personal security. We are likely to need some extra awareness and discipline to manage the holidays this year. The first week after this Mars station will be a good time for self-reflection and writing due to several favorable Mercury aspects. This period will also be favorable for reworking previously initiated projects.
The Full Moon occurs on November 24 at 2 degrees of Gemini. As it is accompanied by a stationary direct Uranus, this time will likely be filled with surprising changes and reversals. Gemini energies are mentally agile and fast moving, especially in the realm of ideas. It is a good time for socializing and networking in order to benefit from sudden meetings and favorable opportunities. It will be essential to follow one's highest intuition and inspiration, which should be operating quite strongly right now. As this highly eventful day also features a Mercury/Neptune challenging aspect, be sure to recheck important details before launching new projects.
A Moon Wobble will occur the next day, with the effects lasting until November 30. It is harder to be objective during this more emotionally impulsive time and best to wait until this period is over before making any drastic changes. As always, it is advisable to consult our spiritual guidance for determining the right direction in any life area.
The New Moon will occur on December 9 at 17 degrees of Sagittarius. It is in a challenging aspect to Uranus and favorably aspects Neptune. This lunation will be similar to the November Full Moon and we can prepare for the next month to be filled with eventful and surprising changes. Neptune should provide some grace and inspiration for our journey. Sagittarius themes include travel, higher education, publishing, philosophy and creative visualization.
On December 11, Jupiter aligns with Pluto at 28 degrees of Sagittarius. Expect some major events to occur due to Pluto's alignment with the Galactic Center. In a natal chart this aspect is considered lucky, so taking some type of harmless gamble may pay off. If one has been working towards a major goal, the harvest could come during this period.
Saturn turns stationary retrograde on December 19 at 8 degrees and 34 minutes of Virgo. This coincides with Jupiter's entry into Capricorn the previous day. With both Jupiter and Saturn in earth signs, we can expect larger and more frequent Earth changes to take place during the next few years. Saturn will be more content in Virgo as it is an earthy planet. However, Jupiter's fiery expansiveness will feel rather restricted in Capricorn, especially after this past sojourn in its own sign. Nevertheless, the earth emphasis will beckon us to be more purposeful, discerning and grounded in order to prepare for the coming energy shifts on our planet.
The Full Moon will occur on December 23 at 2 degrees of Cancer. This is another highly activated lunation, featuring an alignment with Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury. This will likely be a memorable holiday season, in both a personal and worldly sense. In personal matters, focus on expressing emotional receptivity, sensitivity, nurturing, caring and empathy in all your communications with others, as well as with yourself. It will be greatly appreciated on many levels.
